With Malta’s high summer temperatures posing additional challenges to wellbeing in the workplace, Nestlé Malta reinforces its year-round health and safety messages through an annual team-building initiative held outside the office environment.
This year’s event, themed “Strong Teams. Safe Choices. Sustainable Results,” forms part of Nestlé’s global commitment to achieving Zero Harm - ensuring that safety is not just a priority, but a mindset embedded in the way we work every day. Our shared belief is clear: when we work better together, we work safer.
Hosted at the Maria Rosa Wine Estate in Attard, the event brought colleagues together in a relaxed setting that encouraged connection, collaboration, and reflection. Moving beyond their daily routines, employees from across the business participated in a series of structured, low-risk activities designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, and situational awareness.
From the outset, the atmosphere was one of energy and engagement. Throughout the day, colleagues took part in interactive challenges that reinforced safety-conscious behaviours while encouraging problem-solving, mutual support, and effective communication in real-time scenarios. These shared experiences play an important role in fostering trust, reducing stress, and strengthening team cohesion.
The programme also included time to connect informally, with colleagues gathering in the estate’s olive grove for lunch - an opportunity to build relationships, exchange perspectives, and enjoy the natural surroundings. The day concluded with a final team activity and the announcement of the winning team, celebrating collective achievements and reinforcing our shared commitment to health and safety.
A Culture of Care and Sustainability
True to Nestlé’s values, the event also emphasised health, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility. Employees were encouraged to stay hydrated using refillable bottles, dress comfortably for outdoor activities, and carpool where possible to help reduce environmental impact.
The setting itself reinforced the message: reconnecting with nature while fostering a culture that prioritises both people and planet.
More than just a day out of the office, the event reflected Nestlé’s commitment to cultivating a workplace culture where safety is not just a priority, but a mindset embedded in everything we do. Employees were encouraged to take ownership of their own wellbeing while supporting those around them - ensuring that Zero Harm remains a shared responsibility.
Building a Safer Future Together
Health & Safety Wellness Day 2026 demonstrated Nestlé’s belief that safety and wellbeing are collective efforts. By taking time to step away from daily routines and reconnect as teams, employees actively contribute to shaping a workplace where Zero Harm is embedded in every action and decision.
As the day concluded, one message stood out clearly: when we work better together, we all work safer.
This event was a tangible demonstration that safety is not just a policy at Nestlé Malta; it’s an everyday practice. By focusing on psychosocial safety, Nestlé Malta is not only addressing physical hazards but also enhancing communication, trust, and situational awareness - key components of a thriving workplace.
A sincere thank you to all colleagues who took part and contributed to making the day a success. Together, we continue to build a safer, more connected workplace at Nestlé Malta—where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered.
