Purina Malta Donates Over 57,000 Pet Meals To Local Shelters Through Lovin Milied Initiative

For the fifth consecutive year, Purina Malta has teamed up with Lovin Malta for the Lovin Milied initiative, continuing their commitment to supporting Malta’s animal community.

Over the past five years, Purina has been supporting local animal sanctuaries through ongoing pet food donations.

This December, Purina donated just over 5 tones of pet food, equivalent to 57,617 meals, which will be distributed to 20 cat sanctuaries and dog shelters across Malta to support animals in need. This year’s donation includes a variety of Purina pet food products, ensuring balanced and nutritious meals for pets awaiting their forever homes.

Animal shelters and sanctuaries remain a crucial lifeline for countless abandoned, vulnerable and rescued animals.

These organisations work tirelessly to provide care, safety and rehabilitation, often relying heavily on donations to sustain their operations. Purina’s continued support offers essential relief, helping these dedicated teams focus on what matters most – giving every animal a chance at a better life.

In June, Purina made an additional donation amounting to just over 2.5 tonnes, providing 28,667 meals, further strengthening the company’s long-standing support for local animal welfare organisations.

These ongoing efforts highlight Purina Malta’s commitment to the wellbeing of animals and reinforce their belief that life truly is better with pets. Purina is committed to doing more of what matters for pets, for the people who love them and for the planet we share.
