Working @ Nestle Malta

Nestle as an employer - the fundamental values it upholds.

Corporate Culture

We are a people-inspired company. People are at the heart of everything we do. We look to promote a healthy lifestyle inside and outside work wherever possible together with a culture based on our values rooted in respect: for ourselves, for others, for diversity and for the future.

Flexible Working Envrionment

Our ways of working and flexible environment allow us to adapt to the ever-changing world. At Nestlé Malta, teleworking and agile work are common practices. This means employees and their managers can agree on when, where and how to work, in order to better balance personal needs and business requirements. We put the emphasis on individual responsibility, opportunity and autonomy.

Retaining talent is very important and I believe offering flexible hours is a win - win for both the company and its people. Working flexible hours gives me the opportunity to fulfill my professional role within the company and be as present as I could for my son. I learned to prioritize and to delegate more to the team. Health and safety

Since talent is equally distributed within man and women, gender balance is irrefutably critical in today’s workforce. Here, at Nestlé Malta, 40 per cent of our Line Managers and Executive Committee are women. These numbers are the result of an embedded gender balance strategy across all of our business practices, where human resources management plays a key role. We give equal opportunities in recruiting, continuous focus in challenging our cultural behaviours through unconscious bias trainings and in our succession planning processes we make sure to have female candidates in key roles. Diversity leads to stronger performance, faster innovation, leadership inclusion and finally a better place to work for everyone. Internally, we foster diversitiy and inclusion with a multicultural team and constant conections with our colleagues around the world, while externally we are passionate supporter of the cause in Malta.

In 9 years at Nestlé I have witnessed an increase in consciousness on Health and Safety. With the aid of our company and with the commitment of everyone we are making our workplace a safer place and who knows maybe the rest of the world will do the same. Clayton

Nestlé's gender-balance commitment is not just a cliché but a bold statement with ambitious objectives. Thanks to our policies that facilitate women to be present at all levels of the hierarchy gender-balance has now become a lifestyle at the workplace. Such diverse workforce helps in seeing things from a different perspective and fulfil our purpose to enhance quality of life and contributing to a healthier future. Derek

People development and performance

We’ll help you develop as a professional and perform to the best of your ability. At Nestlé, we believe in a continuous performance mindset. Every year we set performance and development goals with our managers, aligned with the business company goals. This helps us to understand how we contribute to the bigger picture and ensure we are engaged to meet them. We encourage open, honest and transparent conversations to drive continuous development. Coaching, feedback and recognition are part of our culture.

It’s all about Team Work - Having been part of Nestlé Malta since 2017, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow both on a personal and professional level through continuous feedback. It is a place where skills and team work is encouraged which creates a sense of belonging and a friendly environment that provides continuous opportunities to its employees. I am thrilled to see how I can contribute and thrive at Nestlé. Kirsten
